If minds are truly alive they will seek out books, for books are the human race recounting its memorable experiences, confronting its problems, searching for solutions, drawing the blueprints of it futures.

Birth: The Surprising History of How We Are Born PDF Print E-mail
By Tina Cassidy

You might have noticed lately that many babies are being born on schedule.  I've read about women scheduling birthc-sections to accommodate their work schedules or their doctor's vacation schedules.  This is a modern development in childbirth.  Tina Cassidy explores the history of how we are born, where we are born and who helps us get born.  This is fascinating stuff.  "Birth" is a very well researched and interesting book.  I really couldn't put it down.  There is a shift toward home birth and midwives in this country right now and this book really puts all of that into context.
