By Sara Pennypacker

When I was eight, I was convinced that no one in the world could understand me like clementineRamona Quimby.  Whenever I was in trouble, I imagined that Ramona would be able to relate and, no doubt, advise me based on her (hilarious) life experiences.  Meet Clemtine, another eight year old girl who knows how to get into all kinds of fun trouble, from hairstyles consisting of permanent-marker curls to toothbrushes covered in lentils.  I absolutely enjoyed this book, and would gladly welcome Clementine into my fantastical gang of friends!  Also, check out The Talented Clementine, Clementine's Letter, and any of Beverly Cleary's books about Ramona Quimby.  Reviewed by Rachel Jones
