Friday, December 9th, 6:00-8:00 pm Jim Henson will be playing classical guitar
David Smith will be at Inklings December 10th, from 2:00-4:00pm, to sign his book, Bible Lessons from our Pets. David has assembled a number of contributors to share their experiences of their pets and what they had learned of God. From faith to faithfulness, we uncover the messages laid out from the Lord.
Sunday, December 11th come visit the store in the afternoon and listen to the Fleur-de-Lys Flute Troupe

Also Saturday, December 17th, 11:00am -1:00 pm, Susan La Riviere signs and chats about her new book based on local lore, Ghost of the Capital Theater
The 17th is also when the Fabulous, Wonderful, Eye-popping Lighted Coca Cola Truck is coming to Chalet Place. The afternoon will be full of carolers walking around Chalet Place, and hot cocoa and cookies. Santa will be here to take pictures at 4:00pm, and the Coke truck will arrive at 6:00! A great event for the whole family.

By Ally Condie: hardcover, 384 pages: Dutton Juvenille, list price: $17.99) Dystopian novels for teens have been around for a long while, but this particular sub-genre of fantasy got a huge second wind from Susanne Collins' The Hunger Games trilogy. If a teen you know is looking for a good follow-up, lead him toward Matched,a first novel by Ally Condie (Dutton, 2010). The novel is set in a world controlled by an all-powerful group known as The Society, in which everything about each person's life — food intake, profession, marriage partner, date of death, etc. — is determined by statistical formulas.
