Books, to the reading child, are so much more than books -- they are dreams and knowledge, they are a future, and a past.

I started at Inklings in October of 2011 and have loved every minute of it. In high school, I remember going to Inklings when it was at Glenwood Square and fantasizing about working in a bookstore someday. Now, here I am! My favorite part of working at Inklings is meeting new people and catching up with people I haven't seen in a long time.

I have always had a deep love of reading and was raised in a home where writing, specifically newspaper reporting, was held in high esteem. In April of 2011 I graduated from George Fox University with a double major in Sociology and Biblical Studies. In May, I married my high school sweetheart and settled back into Yakima. When I am not at Inklings, I can most likely be found at Yakima Foursquare Church where I am a 20 Something's and Assistant Youth Pastor.

My favorite genre of books is generally Religious (shocker, I know) and Biography. My husband and I have a deep love of traveling and eating so the cooking and travel section of the bookstore have been well-loved by us. The object of our affections is our cat, Abner. We spend a lot of time doting on him and making his life fantastic. I am a BIG animal lover. Look forward to seeing you in the store!
