I have lost all sense of home, having moved about so much. It means to me now -- only that place where the books are kept.

all_things_are_ordered.jpgJenn Blair, former Inklings bookseller who now lives and teaches in Georgia, will be at Inklings Bookshop on Thursday, July 1st at 7:00pm signing her beautiful book of poetry, All Things Are Ordered.  Jenn's work has appeared in many journals.  She will be reading from her book and cookies will be served - refreshment for body and soul.

"Full of whimsy and serendipity, Jenn Blair's poems sing the praises of everything from wigs tojennblair.jpg the secret lives of cabbages.  Blair attends to the soda cans under the car seat and the scrimshaw of a master carver with equal care.  Demonstrating that attention is a for of prayer, she occupies the voices of bygone eras - with a loving ventriloquism.  Never settling for ironic posturing,
Blair's poems insist on a role for wit within reverence.  Whether the poem takes us shopping at the Piggly Wiggly or to quibble with Mary Wollstonecraft, when we read All things Are  Ordered, we keep company with Blair's tender regard."

- Dorine Jennette, author of Urchin to Follow
