The big news this week, of course is the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."  Inklings has planned a bewitching night of games, prizes, treats, spells, and magical fun!    Plan to join us at the Harry Potter Party Friday evening starting at 10:00 p.m.  Come dressed in costume and be eligible for a special prize.  Sample such tempting treats as Troll Toes, Quill Pens, Tooth Flossing String Mints, and Quill Pens. Take part in a round of Potter Trivia, craft your own wand, and try your hand at writing in invisible ink.

   Later, watch for the appearance of a  mystery guest, and then at midnight . . . the moment you've been waiting for:  You will be able to hold the final Harry Potter book in your hands. 

    Will you stay up and read it all night?  Or will you enjoy it in smaller doses, savoring each page and stretching it out?  (If so, you may want to warn friends and family NOT to discuss the book in your presence!)

   You still have time to preorder your book.  In doing so you will save 25% and be certain of having a copy reserved for you on the day of the release.

• Tie a string around your finger, reminding you to come in to Inklings, your only local independent bookseller, between July 20 and July 24, and enter the Independent Muggles Sweepstakes to win a trip to London!
• Make plans to attend the Harry Potter Party Friday night, 10 p.m., outdoors at Inklings Bookshop!
